AWAKENINGS IN DRAGON BALL
There are a lot of awakenings in DB, so let's get right to it.
SUPER SAIYAN: Golden awakening for Saiyans.
SUPER SAIYAN 2: Ascended golden awakening.
SUPER SAIYAN 3: Awaken even further beyond! (Possibly using a bit of life-energy to enhance the Super Saiyan power to this level.)
GOHAN'S ULTIMATE FORM: Gohan's unique awakening, drawn out from Elder Kai's ritual. (Activated like a SSJ transformation without the need to physically transform.)
SUPER SAIYAN GOD: Spiritual awakening for Saiyans through an ancient Saiyan ritual. (Can also be attained through godly training.)
SUPER SAIYAN GOD SUPER SAIYAN: SSJ's golden awakening combined with the power of the SSG spiritual awakening. (Thus, called the Super Saiyan form of Super Saiyan God, but later named Super Saiyan Blue.)
TRUNKS' SUPER SAIYAN RAGE: Trunks' unique righteous rage-filled awakening. (It's similar to Broly's Legendary SSJ/Full Power form & Kale's SSJ Berserk form. SS-Rage has blue & yellow colors together without mixing into green like how Broly & Kale's forms have green hair & green auras. The forms are also similar by the initial transformation not having pupils, then gaining pupils after they regain control of themselves.)
KRILLIN'S NON-SELF STATE: Krillin's enlightenment & unique spiritual awakening. (Buddhist symbolism to symbolize his enlightenment. Resembles UI Omen's watery aura, but wrapped closer around the body & the aura is completely white. The spiritual transformation also has aura around the fists, symbolizing awakened palm chakras.)
GOKU'S ULTRA INSTINCT: Angelic spiritual awakening that Goku attained. (Cosmic symbolism to display his awakening. Watery aura with blue, purple, & white aura colors that represent chakra colors to symbolize Goku's enlightenment.)
VEGETA'S SUPER SAIYAN BLUE EVOLUTION: Vegeta's unique awakening of the Super Saiyan Blue power. (The form has eyes similar to Goku's Ultra Instinct, relaying to us that it's some sort of awakening. But, it has a very different aura.)
JIREN'S SUPER FULL POWER: Jiren's unique awakening. (Similar aura to Goku's Ultra Instinct, but has the primary color of red instead of blue [red & blue make purple; one of the colors of the 7th chakra]. This is possibly Jiren using god ki.)
PICCOLO'S ULTIMATE FORM: Piccolo's unique awakening. (We know nothing about it for now. He has a connection to gods due to Kami, so it could be god ki or even something else entirely. We'll find out more after DBS: Super Hero is released.)
There are the usual Super Saiyan transformations, but also unique awakenings for different characters.
Because Saiyans physically transform, their awakenings are depicted by transformation. (Gold is also a color often used to depict awakenings.)
Characters that don't physically transform (like Krillin & Jiren) have "spiritual transformations" which are awakenings visually depicted by their aura changing. (Krillin's aura changes from a clear aura to a white watery aura with jagged aura around the fists. Jiren's aura changes from a flaming red aura to an aura mixed of red, purple, & white.)
Piccolo is an interesting case. His skin changes to a yellowish-green color (gold color depicting awakening) and the texture of his skin changes with his awakened state. (Clothing wise, Piccolo has a purple gi; purple & white being the colors of the 7th chakra. Also, the black sash seems to signify awakening & clarity, turning evil to good, according to Buddhist color meanings.) Not to mention that this is the 1st time we had a Namekian physically transform in such a way.
There are also other awakenings that I can briefly mention.
Goku Black's Super Saiyan Rosé transformation, Merged Zamasu's white haired fusion form, Kale & Broly's green haired transformation, and even Toppo's Destroyer God form too is an awakening.
(Other GoDs like Beerus are included too. A dragon appeared by Beerus in DBS episode 12 because dragons are a symbol of enlightenment and godly power. Also, all Angels are awakened beings. Now, the Kai & Kaio are godly beings, but idk if they are considered awakened beings. But its possibly a low level of awakening.)
