The Chronological Superman 1960:
The Boy of Steel fails to check his internalized misogyny, resulting in an educational hallucination from the alien Shar-La, in Superboy vol.1 No.78.
After saving Shar-La’s ship from crashing, Superboy has some tart words about women drivers. Utilizing technology from her matriarchal world, Shar-La hypntoizes Superboy into a complicated, realistic dream in which he has been transformed into Claire Kent, a.k.a. Super-Sister, complete with all the hassles women must deal with in their everyday lives. Mostly, in the context of the story, that means having to do housework instead of playing outside, but that’s pretty advanced for a kid’s book in 1960.
