Fortunately, large groups of people never scared him off. It was quite the opposite, really. Seeing such a large crowd only tugged at his curiosity, they made him eager, if anything. Were they waiting for something? What were they waiting for? Why were they waiting for it? When did they start waiting? How long have they been waiting? Where is thing that they are waiting for? Is it close? How close?
"Hey!"
"Is there something going on? Hm..."
As much as he wanted to get an answer from everyone, he knew that he wouldn't get the chance to. Not now, anyway. He wasn't terribly bad at remembering people's faces. Maybe, if he'd come across one of them again while wandering throughout the school, they'd be willing to strike up a conversation. If not, then he'd do it. It didn't really matter either way.
Tapping on the shoulder of the person nearest to him, he waited until he'd caught their attention to beam at them. It wasn't a forced smile, of course. He really was excited to speak to whoever this was, as he was with anyone.
"There's plenty of people around, isn't there? Ah, well, it's nice to meet you!"
