HIS WORDS URGED SILENCE from her. She had expected the former half of his response; logical reasoning unhindered by feeling nor whimsical idealisms, emphasising the simple yet prominent fact that she had been given many opportunities to take his life yet not made any such attempt. Though, to preach trust in her was a confidence she had not anticipated.
❝Maybe I just decided I enjoyed you and didn’t want to kill you so soon.❞ Try as she might to test his reasons to trust her, he had already seen through her facade; she would wait for the perfect opportunity to strike and DO SO, never longer – it was why she was so famed as a snake.
❝But, to trust me? I wouldn’t have expected that from you.❞ Trust is not to be taken lightly; it can be the downfall of man, and thus it is hard earned and easily lost ( and when it is lost it leaves wounds ). They both knew this.
❝Thank you.❞
