His hand stayed to secure you, his eyes looking up at you with admiration that Hollywood could never recreate. You giggle, your lips moving to the sound, hand in his hair. When the sound is over, he sets you down, watching you rush to post it, making him smile.
The video went viral, getting almost a million likes! In bed, you scrolled through the comments with him. His favorite comment was, “Oh, he’s in LOVE!” and another, “He looks like a puppy.” Clark smiled to himself because he was shamelessly both those things for you.

When he’s typing up an article, or walking through the crowded streets, Clark talks into his phone. “Do you need anything from the store? I’m passing by on the way home…” and at the end of every text it’d say, ‘Stop’ or ‘Please stop’. A glimpse into how Clark talked to his phone, but you hardly seemed to notice after around a month of texting him.
✦ Chronically Offline!Clark when... he can’t read tones over text. No punctuation makes him think your upset. His texts are always perfectly punctuated, spelled, and with little emojis that remind you he’s a millennial. Whenever you used the crying emoji instead of the laughing emoji? He sprung into action. “Are you okay?” or “What happened?” Texting him was difficult all around; he answered quicker on phone call most of the time.
✦ Chronically Offline!Clark when... you sneakily set up a camera when he comes home, aimed at the front door. ‘Seeing how long it takes him to melt’ trend, knowing not in a million years that he would have seen it. ACTIVITIES - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?
He loves to just relax with you and spend quality time with you. Whether it is staying in bed late just cuddling you while making small talk. Or if it is just watching Star Wars, your head lying in his lap. But he also just loves taking you out to eat, whether it's just little dates to small, lesser-unknown restaurants, or to those fancy and romantic restaurants. Also, if you take him anywhere where you want to go, he will absolutely enjoy it. Even if it is to a place that doesn't pique his interests, if it brings you a smile on your face, he will always enjoy it.
BEAUTY - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?
He loves how smart and caring you are. The way you also love to help people and animals that you don't know, melts his heart. But you know what melts his heart more? You looking after him. His heart goes crazy when you give him a bath to relax him, or when you give him a shoulder massage after hunching back all day.
What you love about him is how much of a gentleman he is. He always opens doors for you every time. If you feet get sore walking back to your car with him, he will literally carry you. He loves to comfort you all the time, because ‘happy wife, happy life’. If you are dealing with physical pain (no matter what it is - period pain, post-surgery pain, etc.). Whatever you need to help you with the pain, he will. If you are dealing with emotional pain, he will comfort you in whatever ways you need. If you just need hugs and silence, more tissues, talking, space, etc., he will do whatever you ask him.
DREAMS - How do they picture their future with their s/o?
He definitely pictures you two getting married, your wedding at a barn, having only a few close people invited. He definitely wants to move into a house with you. He is unsure of having kids. He really wants some kids with you, but he is so scared his Superman stuff will get in the way of him being a good father. But after years of thinking about it, he decides he wants some kids. He definitely sees himself being a girl dad, but he doesn't mind either way. He definitely wants to have many pets with you. Also he dreams of your romance growing over time. Which equals more dates, flowers, kisses, hugs, sex, etc. - if having more of that is even possible with the amount of love he gives you.
EQUAL - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?
He is normally the passive partner in the relationship, happy to just listen to you and let you take charge. If you ask him to stay in bed a little bit longer, but he needs to go to work for an important meeting. Guess what? He is staying in bed with you for a couple more minutes. Though he does like taking charge of some things in the relationship. He loves to do cooking sometimes and he won’t let you do it - just when he wants to (so normally you two would end up splitting cooking 50% of the day each). Also when it comes to dates he would often like to be the one to surprise you.
FIGHT - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?
During fights he is so empathetic and he will always make sure he listens to your side and lets you speak. Even when his emotions are running crazy, he will still make sure he makes space for you to talk about it. Which leaves you two not really walking out of the apartment in frustration due to the argument. But if the argument was about a pretty heated and controversial topic, you two may not be as affectionate as you two normally are. But it goes back to normal after a while.
But if you call him supershit as a joke, he gets so mad, he starts pacing back and forth in the room. When you tell him that you were joking his spins around and says “well aren't you feeling extra cheeky tonight baby?” He then goes to kiss your lips, before telling you never to say that again because he hates it, especially coming out of your mouth. No matter if it is a joke or not.
GRATITUDE - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?
Every time you breathe or heart beats he is grateful for you. You have always been his rock. You make him feel human, especially during the time when everyone calls him an alien. Remember in the movie when he says “I am as human as anyone. I love it.” You are just always there for him, whether it is hearing him ramble about Star Wars lore, or him crying when he feels too overwhelmed after doing his Superman duties. Whatever it is, he always knows that when he gets home - into your arms - you will provide the emotional and physical support he desires, deserves, and needs. He is so grateful for you not leaving him when he told you his Superman. Every little action you do, he is reminded of how much he loves you. Whether that is making coffee, or hugging his parents when you see them.
HONESTY - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?
Obviously at the start he kept his Superman identity a secret. But when he believes he can trust you enough, and your relationship has been consistent and it’s more than a couple months in, he will totally tell you. I can imagine him telling you at a candle light dinner at his place. But besides that, he doesn’t keep any secrets from you, unless it is his proposal plans. He tells you everything.
INSPIRATION - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?
The most important and memorable things he remembers of you helping him overcome personal problems, is him receiving hate comments due to his Superman identity (#SUPERSHIT). The way you comfort him every time he gets the comments into his head, will always amaze him. You provide him comfort that he is not supershit, you remind him that what he is doing is actually really amazing, and you will always teach him ways he can handle these supershit comments.
JEALOUSY - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?
He trusts you fully. He doesn't get jealous if a man comes up and talks to you while you two are out. He just gets annoyed/angry that the stranger is annoying you.
KISS - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?
His kisses are always so gentle and sweet filled with lots of passion. If you had lost all your senses in regards to knowing if Clark loves you. You can bet that his kisses will give you your answer - he loves so much. He kisses you very deeply, and every single time you both have to pull apart breathless. Though so many times before he kisses you, you know he will by the lingering looks mixed with his eyes gently closing in a beautiful way. But sometimes kisses with him can be a bit rougher (though never too much, as he cares about you so much and doesn’t want to hurt you. It was the next Superman mission after he told you that he was Superman. When he entered your apartment balcony (your doors being unlocked for him of course) it was around four am. He saw you sitting on the couch waiting for him, as he promised you a dinner date and movie night. You were going to yell at him for missing it, but when you saw him all beaten up you couldn’t, all you wanted to do was look after him. After you try to fix him up with the best you could do with what was inside the first aid kit. After you are done you lift his head up and slide a hand under it. Staring at each other, he whispers “Thank you, love. I love you so much.” You tell him that you love him back before giving him a soft kiss on the lips. Being gentle enough so you don’t hurt him. You then play with his hair as he goes to sleep waiting for the sun to rise.
MARRIAGE - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?
He desperately wants to get married to you. Like what I said in the ‘Dream’ section, he wants to marry you. When you two get married he constantly calls you ‘Mrs. Kent’. Even when you two weren't married and he only just proposed to you, he loved to say ‘Mrs. Kent’ testing how it rolls off his tongue. Which means he says it all the time.

NICKNAMES - What do they call their s/o?
He loves calling you the classic nicknames (e.g., ‘Love’ and ‘Darling’). But sometimes when he may be feeling more possessive he likes to call you ‘my girl’. But also when he is more in a romantic and praising-every-inch-of-you feeling, he will definitely call you things like ‘Angel’, ‘gorgeous’, ‘beautiful’, and during the more heated moments ‘sexy’ or ‘hot stuff’.
ON CLOUD NINE - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?
It is so obvious to everyone that knows you two are dating. When he is with his work friends and they are not talking about work stuff he will always find a way to bring you in the conversations. Even if they aren’t close with Clark, other people in the office can just walk past his desk and see a framed photo of you kissing Clark while your pets cuddle on your guy’s laps. When he is with the Justice League, he will try his best not to do some small things with them. Say after a mission, he will always try to skip the mission debrief, so he can ‘go home to my girlfriend, and have dinner with her’. Even strangers in public can see he absolutely loves you, by being the best gentleman in the entire world.

He is afraid to be really into PDA, because if he shows physical connection and an enemy knows of Superman’s identity, he doesn't want to kiss you and get you killed. But when he is around people he is close to, he will go absolutely crazy, forcing you to sit on his lap as he wraps his arm around you, kisses you, and lays his head against you. He is probably one of the most romantic men out there in the world. They would do anything. You tell him that you are craving this one specific chocolate bar that is found in only one town in the entire world. It doesn’t matter if it is on the opposite side of the planet, he will always fly there and get it for you to see you smile. If he made a reservation at this high end restaurant to celebrate your 5 year anniversary since getting married, but you had fallen ill that day. You would be guilty obviously, but he would do whatever he can to make the emotions feel less harsh on you. At that point he wouldn’t care about the finances, all he would care about is helping you feel less shit, physically and emotionally. He loves you so much - your his life and his world - he would do anything for you. He always asks for your opinion, to make sure that you also like that thing.
SUPPORT - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?
He believes in you so much. If you are feeling like it is a bad idea and not worth your time because you suck. He will spend a whole day at work googling motivational quotes from your favourite celebrities (whether it be scientists, athletes, singers, actors, etc). When he comes home to you that night, he will then go on this big babble to you on why you should do this. He had written down some of those quotes he found, but also included like a hundred of his own quotes. He would praise you like there is no tomorrow, and list every characteristic and personality trait that you own that can prove that you can reach that task/goal.
When you are on your way of achieving this goal, he will also make sure to check on you. See how you are going, provide any support, suggestions, feedback, or whatever else you may need. But he will also make sure you are looking out for yourself, offering to cook more meals, offering full body massages, or offering a candle-lit scented bath.
When you do reach that goal, you should know he will damn well go all out in celebrations. Say for example you finally got your dream job, he would be hosting a small party, he would talk about it nonstop, and so on. He will praise you like their is no tomorrow. Clark is so understanding. Due to his job/s he always wants to help people, and understand people. Whether it is asking for their side of the story for an article, or saving people’s lives. He always wants to understand you, and he would be so empathetic. He would be so empathetic, that he would start feeling those emotions sometimes. And say if something massive happened in your life (you got fired or a loved one died) he would never force you to stop being emotional after a couple days. He totally gets it. Even though it hurts him to hear you cry, if that helps you, he will tell you that you can cry even more. But if it gets to a point where it is looking like depression or another mental illness, he will totally try and get you proper help.
After dating you for some while, he is able to easily tell by your behavioural patterns on how you are feeling. From the tiniest voice change to bouncing your leg up and down. He knows exactly what you're feeling at that moment, and he will always try and support you. Say if you have really bad social anxiety, and he is noticing some things you do subconsciously when you feel anxious, he will help step in to order for you or so on. If you suffer from PTSD, and he can tell you are in the middle of a flashback, he will always carry around stuff that helps bring you into the present - whether it is ice packs, essential oils, or anything else.
VALUE - How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?
It is the most important thing in his life. You are so important, he values you so much. You do so much for him, and you make him feel the most valuable person in the entire world. Your relationship/you are of the exact same importance (if he is being honest much more) than his Superman life. He loves saving people and values you as important, but if he had to save you and a bunch of other people, he would always save you first. He always makes sure no matter what, after every fight he comes back home to you.
One time when you got kidnapped by one of his enemies and you got seriously hurt. When you are lying in your hospital bed, you ask him if he can stay with you instead of going out to help the Justice Crew in a fight. He contemplates it, but seeing your puppy eyes, he ends up staying with you, holding you in his arms.
