Saying hello to each other is a great start of a relationship. If the voice is soft and gentle, it will draw us even closer.

Reducing the Moon to ‘click bait’

I hope I don’t sound too grumpy when I say this, but I’m tired of seeing these faked photos of the ‘Supermoon’ every time we have one. You know the ones I mean, where people or buildings are silhouetted by a moon that is taking up a massively disproportionate amount of the night sky and the caption tells you that it’s the moon from last night photographed somewhere you weren’t. 

Why does it need to be embellished like that and then attempted to be passed off as real?

And by the way, by definition, every year has a moon that is the closest of the year. And also, whatever the distance from Earth that moon is, it will always be the closest since some year or other. (this one was the closest since 1948) We don’t need to hype it as a ‘supermoon.’ 

It’s just the moon. You don’t need to sell it to us. It is already quite beautiful and wondrous enough.
