For the most part the movie actually had nothing to do with the books, which made it even worse.

Ah, okay. I’ve only read the first book and hardly remember any of it (I’m not even sure if I actually finished it) so only a few times in the movie did anything even seem slightly familiar to me lol.

Like the only part I remembered completely was “The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed” because like, that’s an amazing first line in a book and hard to forget.

If anything it DID make me want to re-read The Gunslinger and then finish the rest of the series so I guess that’s good.
