Opera has mostly gotten over its anti-supertitle snobbery from the 80s (it will destroy the purity of the music to have to read, and you should have already learned what it says before you started.)
But there's sort of a weird legacy trace, where they tend to not like to repeat lyrics for you, even if the lyrics repeated. I mean, obviously you figured out what Italian words the titles corresponded to about 5 minutes ago in the da capo aria and know that it's repeating, so why do we need to repeat it? It would just distract!
Although in this case, I do think it's probably closer to "wait, people need to see that again?" than anything else.
