A waning moon...
Best shot I was able to get of Jupiter (and some of its moons) tonight with the super zoom camera! Really need to get a telescope eventually to get better space shots, but regardless, was glad it was clear tonight to be able to see Jupiter the closest & brightest it will be to Earth for the next 107 years!

A fews days ago I tested the Pentax X70 bridge camera and was blown away by the superzoom function. I wondered at the time what the moon would look like through this camera, well tonight it was the full moon known as the Strawberry Moon. The normal New Year’s protocol for folks is to work towards good health and prosperity. I just want to photograph a bald eagle in the wild. Today I saw a pair of Red-tailed Hawks hanging out in a tree around the corner. May not be my eagle, but definitely birds of prey. I’m getting closer. Will 2023 be my year? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
