EPIC. MORE LIKE THIS PLEASE
oh my god...(August 10, 2020)
Look y’all.
I’m a dumb white girl with a nail polish problem. It’s basic (see figure 1.a). It’s not important. And if we allow the thrashing the USPS is undergoing the way conservatives are ACTIVELY WORKING ON RIGHT NOW I double-dog promise it will work against you too. Do you like private pay-to-live health care? You’re gonna love private pay-to-get your mail delivery services.
Maybe you think, “I don’t use that service that much.” You use it more than you know and you can’t predict how important it might become to you if, let’s say, you suddenly have to get medication through the mail because of a horrible car wreck.
From USPS : “The United States Postal Service provides the following services:
Post Office™ Box rentals
Selling shipping supplies (where available)
Accepting debit / credit card payment (where available)
Selling postage in any denomination
Providing USPS® mailing information
Weigh and classify postage of envelopes and parcels
Providing assistance with dispense forms such as Priority Mail Express®, Certified Mail®, etc.,
Confirmation services
Providing receipts for purchases
Change of Address (COA) service
Money order sales
Other services may also be available depending upon the location. In addition, the USPS offers an alliance with The UPS Store:
There are currently over 800 locations participating in ten of the eleven postal areas.
The UPS Store locations will enter into individual contracts with the Postal Service™ and offer additional services. (Mail classes, items, and stamps are currently offered at the more than 3,000 UPS store locations.)
This initiative will provide greater convenience for our customers and encourage the sale of postal products and services.”
I am actually considered rural. I don’t have a mailbox at my house. I cannot get mail at my place of residence. I have to go to the local USPS to get my mail. How far will I have to drive if they privatize it? How much more will you have to pay for shipping? This isn’t just a liberal vs conservatives issue. It. Will. Affect. You. If they get what they want. They just don’t want you to think about it.

We have a lot of deliveries coming and going so I thought I would put out some snacks and drinks for the delivery folks to let them know we appreciate them.
