Description: Based in the UK, The Summer War is a three-piece alt rock group that manages to recall both the original British Invasion sound of the 1960's, and the early 2000’s emo movement that brought bands like Jack’s Mannequin and Relient K to the forefront of angst music. Ciaramella, who provides the lead vocals on “Recovery,” (link to the lyric video provided above), has this old-school, 1960’s sound to his voice, very reminiscent of the Rolling Stones. Tom Farr has his own flare as well, creating a unique blend of new and old to synch up brilliantly on each track.

"I'm starting to see / Why I walked this road / Needed all of me / To become my own / All of my sorrows / Now turn into my power / This is my / My herstory of soul / Let it go through me wash over me and touch me / Let it go through me wash over me and touch me / Let it go through me wash over me and touch me"
During my most fruitful sharing of homes, I was blessed to share space and time with two lights the world is so incredibly blessed to have. I truly believe that sharing a home with these two helped me to open myself up to my own light in ways I never imagined.
My purchases since being in India have been limited to iTunes thus far. Music's always been therapy and a source of clarity for me. Of course, this lays true for Naima's first single on iTunes. It's been steady on repeat as I soak in her goodness, wisdom and truth. Even on the other side of the world, I feel myself open up because of the magic she's sharing with us all. I am grateful for her bravery as it allows me to step forward with courage.
I had a sleepless night last night. It's near midnight now and I'm still wired. I feel dreams manifesting under my skin, coming to a boil from my heart and soul. I am starting to see clearly visions for my tomorrows. I see why I walked this road, as Naima sings, as all the pieces of the puzzle are starting to fit together. I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I am excited to feel more and more on my path.
Please support this dear sister's shining light and wisdom by purchasing her first single on iTunes. (link above)
