When Silque kisses her, Marisa immediately assumes it’s a gesture of thanks in her homeland, Valentia. After all, Silque has made it clear that she’s grateful for Marisa’s assistance in getting to her destination of Renais. She’s not familiar with Valentian customs by any means, but considering that she’s just met Silque, it’s about the only guess she has.
