Heya do you know of any support groups that's based in dublin please ~~
Individuality: Peer support group for trans young people aged 14 - 23 in the Ombudsman for Children’s office every second Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30, includes a huge pile of really big bean bags and friendly people, and many workshops. (next on the 7th of June, I think a few of our mods will be there)
Ladybirds: Peer support group for lbtq+ women and non-binary people aged 14 - 23, featuring friendly people, plenty of workshops, and free tea. Every second Thursday from 6 - 8 in the BeLonGTo offices in 13 Parliament Street in Dublin. (Next on the 8th of June, I’m actually doing a workshop on bees)
BeLonGTo Sunday: Peer support group for lgbtq+ young people aged 13 - 17. 3 - 6 every second Sunday in the Outhouse on Capel Steet in Dublin City. There’s an hour to hang out prior to the workshop. (Next on the 11th of June, I don’t think I’ll be there unfortunately)
Over 18s: This is, in effect, BeLonGTo Sunday for Over 18s, but every second Tuesday in the BeLonGTo offices on Parliament Street. (Next on the 6th of June)
LOOK (Loving Our Out Kids): Peer support group for parents and guardians of lgbtq+ young people. First Thursday of every month from 8 to 10 in the BeLonGTo office on Parliament Street.
Transparenci: Support group for parents and family members of trans young people. Check the TENI website for more information as well as dates and times. As far as I’m aware, a similar group for young people takes place at the same time in the same venue, but you have to go with a parent/guardian.
Aside from these, I don’t really know of any. I hope this helps, though! - Riley
just adding that i definitely go to individuality regularly, and i go to the dublin transparenci group, and if you are nervous abt coming to the groups you can come and say hi to me and stuff if that helps !!
