FINALLY, I’ve finished my Scar design for my Hermitcraft Design Biodiversity Project! Introducing Wood Elf Scar! Have at thee!

So, obviously this design is a bit closer to the fanon than the other two were, but the main reason I’ve decided to make Scar an Elf here, is because if Pesky Bird became the fanon for Grian being Avian or a Parrot, why not Elf Boy!!

Scar always has a bit of a Nature vibe most of the time as well (when he isn’t doing Capitalism). Hell, he was a Zookeeper in Season 10. So a woodland elf seemed like the perfect fit!

I like to think that this specific design has some sort of Magical Beast Hybrid heritage wayyyy back in his family line which is why he’s got a tail and all that. (Really, I just felt like he needed a tail.)

He also seems like the type of guy to keep pins or patches of places he’s gone, so I gave his bag the Hotguy Emblem, and one pin for each Life Series (expect Past Life because I haven’t gotten through that one yet). I also gave him a cane! :]

Once again thinking about how well Jacob Narverud’s choral arrangement of the poem Ah Sun-flower! by William Blake fits with Secret Life Scar and dropping to the floor in agony. /pos

For reference, the poem is as follows:

Ah, Sun-flower! weary of time,

Who countest the steps of the Sun;

Seeking after that sweet golden climbe

Where the traveler’s journey is done

Where the Youth pined away with desire,

And the pale Virgin shrouded in snow;

Arise from their graves and aspire,

Where my Sun-flower wishes to go.

I would animate it, but I don’t quite have a storyboard in mind, nor do I have the proper software. So, I just sit here with the idea in my brain and the feeling of anguish in my heart.

The mental whiplash I experienced watching Grian’s latest HC11 episode after having finished Season 10 a week or so prior was insane. I wasn’t 100% listening to what he was saying, so it genuinely took me a few seconds to process why seeing Big Wood in the distance was Incorrect.

A recreation of my thought process is as follows:

“oh yeah, and there’s the shopping district! Look at that, it all looks nice as usual; there’s Big Wood and Ren’s beacon shop and- wait a second. That’s the wrong season, isn’t it. The shopping district’s the other way now. It’s Season 11, not Season 10. What in the world happened for that to glitch out like that???”

In conjunction with my last reblog, I realised that Mr. GoodTimesWithScar likely has a Twitch Sub Discord server and, being subscribed, I decided to join it.

Well. I go to my discord connections with Hope and Excitement and Whimsy in my heart and happily click on the ‘Join’ button only for an error to pop up! Oh no, I think, maybe it’s simply not connected correctly! So, I go to Twitch to check. No, everything’s connected properly. I go back and press the ‘Join’ button again, only for the same error to pop up again!

I stand outside the gates to Scarland, tickets in hand, and I am unable to step inside due to the ticket reader bugging out. I’m not even upset at this point, this is hilarious, but I… would like to step inside at some point, that’d be great

I love when executive dysfunction only happens for specific things. Like yeah, I can’t get myself to prepare references in the few day left before Art Fight, but I SURE CAN start a WHOLE JOURNAL taking METICULOUS NOTES on each episode of The Magnus Archives!
