1/2 ☆ My lovely bitched I need some advice about a bill. I recently had a consultation with a periodontist for a procedure that's considered cosmetic. I knew the procedure itself wouldn't be covered and I did ask about it. But I was really surprised to receive a $215 just for the consultation.

(continued) 2/2 ☆ While I'm not opposed to paying a consultation bill, this seems like really large amount, and I wasn't informed I'd have to pay that much just for a consultation. I don't know if I can fight this, but is there a way to get them to lower the amount?

Oh honey that SUCKS! I'm so sorry you were surprised with a dental bill.

We think it's utterly unethical how so much of medical care is secretive about billing. Dentists and hospitals should literally have a menu board with uninsured prices for procedures listed. And yet!

Hi guys, I hate to do this but here it goes. My cat Stubby who has been with me through absolutely everything, has been flown to and lived in Alaska with me for a year, been by my side literally over half of my life, needs surgery to remove two very large bladder stones. He is in pain and peeing blood. I am not going to lie or give the wrong idea: he is getting the surgery no matter what and it is already scheduled for the 19th of this month; I am able to put it on a credit card. However, I've recently moved out on my own with my two kids and this is essentially like having two rents in a month. I hate asking for help, but this is something that is absolutely necessary. I have had a consultation for top surgery, something I have waited my whole life for! However the original plan fell through as my insurance company specifically excludes any gender related procedures. Which means I can’t appeal their decision.

So if I want to get this life saving surgery, I am going to have to pay 7800 dollars out of pocket. Anything you are able to donate is very much appreciated, and please share as much as you can! Dysphoria is no joke.

Hi, has anyone had top surgery revisions after going private with Mr Kneeshaw? And if so how long after the initial surgery can you get them without extra cost? Thanks

Typically you’ll be looking at revisions free within around 12 months of the original surgery, but for more information I’ll put this out to followers!

Last week, Laura had a nasty skiing accident in the French Alps and has a broken pelvis and lower back. She will likely need surgery and extensive physical therapy as well as repatriation to her native Canada.

Her insurance refuses to cover ANY of her costs.
