002
If there was anything Susan wish she could accept, it was knowing how useless she was in certain situations and not taking the hint that she was not needed in the scenario to begin with.
Sure. Hunter had told her that she had done a good job in taking care of the beast that was roaming about in the area but that said beast later on came to another enemy camp to attack it while they were protecting the main base. While most of the elders claim that they had no idea what could've cause the creature to go rampant was unknown, Susan knew full well why the creature did what it did.
The Tribes people were friendly all around her but deep down Susan believed it was forced. A fake act of kindness. They didn't want her around here for what she was...
A being of darkness...
The monster would have had no reason to attack this village had Susan not been lingering around any longer than she should have. Her scent was now all over the village and pretty soon the villagers will now have to relocate somewhere else.
Not only that but that had to move quickly to not be caught up in a snowstorm that was soon to approach. And there were not a lot of casters that were up to full strength.
Susan could do nothing but hold her head low. If there was power that Susan wanted more than anything, it was to turn invisible and hide away from the many eyes that looked at her.
