Y/n and Sebastian hit things off pretty quickly when it came to their relationship. But some questioned how they were so well paired when they were almost too opposite.
But it had all started with the simple conversation that was flirting between them but anyone who witnessed it would've thought that y/n saying "be a player or be played" was an insult. However, instead it's what motived Sebastian to ask her out and it's how they got into their relationship.
Sebastian decided he wanted to be a player in a game with her and force her to realise it was much more than a game.
When he spots her in the Red Bull unit looking at the choices of Red Bull beverages. Would you like to guess what takes up the majority of options?
"Are you free?" He asks landing his hand son her waist as he speaks into her ear.
"No, I'm expensive." Y/n hums, teasing him but keeping the humour removed from her voice just to keep him on his toes.
"Y/n." Sebastian mumbles wanting her to be serious rather than her usual sarcastic manner.
"What?" She questions lightly, softening her tone as she speaks to him and sighs looping her arms around his neck while she looks at him. "You have my attention. What are you going to do with it?"
Sebastian could think of a lot of things that he would like to do now he has her attention.
"Sebastian..."
"I want to get out of here for a bit." Sebastian states making her smile since it's not uncommon for y/n to want time alone, her nature is to have a very small social battery. Which is another thing that makes the pair so confusing since Sebastian is just about the definition of a social butterfly. He can charm anyone into a friendship.
"Let's go." Y/n nods then kissing him with a peck before she slides her hands down and links one with him. "Come on."
Sebastian moves with her before they get to his motorhome, the peace of being slightly away from the track and paddock seeming to soothe an anxiety y/n didn't know she was feeling till she was away from the source of it and in turn that seems to bring some peace to Sebastian.
"Ich liebe dich." Sebastian mumbles before she returns the words in slightly broken German, but he appreciates the effort.
A brief moment as they both consider having sex to kill the time but end up just cuddling instead. Y/n resting her head on Sebastian's chest as they do so.
"Do you ever wonder about if people are right when they say we're not good for each other?" Y/n asks while Sebastian frowns down at her then pulling her closer and squeezing her and rests his chin on top of her head.
"No. I think if people don't think we're good for each other then they just don't know us and they should be quiet." Sebastian declares making her smile a little at his stern tone as he speaks. He doesn't speak so seriously very often with her, but he when he gets protective he really doesn't play about it. "You are smarter than to listen to uneducated people like that."
"I just...like being reassured by you sometimes."
"I don't know what else I could do to reassure you. But if you can think of something then tell me." Sebastian mumbles with a small sigh.
Y/n has always loved the rule that people accept the love they think they deserve. Because with the type of love she receives from Sebastian, she knows that she is accepting love from him that is far better than she'd expect herself to be receiving.
Before Sebastian, her self-worth and self-value wasn't exactly at an all time high, but he's certainly improved how she looks at herself and how she feels about herself.
Sebastian didn't really need any ego inflation or increase in self-value. He's the youngest world champion in F1 and he is proving to be a force to be reckoned with when it comes to his wins. But he has definitely felt that he found his other half with y/n.
They have actually become more alike in habits and small gestures; the time time they've spent together having mean they've rubbed off on each other a little and Sebastian sees no better evidence for as to why they are so well paired.
They're still opposites but not entirely, they have things in common and there's a little bit of that "couples slowly morph into the same person" that has happened throughout the duration but he really thinks that they both have so much love for each other there is just no one either of them would rather be with.
"How long before someone comes looking or you?" Y/n whispers as if she's sensing that someone is there about to appear.
"We've got a bit more time before they come bothering us, don't worry."
