The words “good work” were the only thing that Kuki needed to hear before dismissing himself from the clutches of his squad leader. Merely being in Haise’s presence suffocated him so the younger would always try and finish his missions, assignments and reports as quickly as possible to avoid encountering the elder as much.

Leaving the CCG building was no problem after that; rather, it was comforting to be free from all the burdens momentarily, because arriving home would mean beginning the work cycle yet again. So he took slow strides, trying to enjoy the walk as much as possible. That was, until he could begin to sense some unsettling feelings. He could feel something wrong, but just wasn’t sure why he felt so uncertain or rather, why he felt such a sick, yet... exciting feeling in his stomach. The feeling soon worsened the moment he turned a corner away from where he had intended to turn, and all his suspicions were confirmed within a moment. He could feel the adrenaline rush through his veins that instant.

He didn't know why his system registered the sense so late, but it was the strong, metallic smell of blood that triggered his senses. Perhaps work earlier had made him immune to it for the moment, but now, he could see everything unfold in front of his very eyes, a slender figure was hunched over another lying one, the spine of the lying figure bent so unnaturally that it just seemed... lifeless. 

...Oh no, I’m getting excited--

The figure upright was dining on the other, hiding within the confines of a dark alleyway, which even then seemed far too open  because by now, Kuki had seen it all. But rather than disgust, it awoke something far more... disturbing within himself. Like an animal, thirsting for the blood of it’s prey; almost aroused by its sight as his feelings of unsettlement had clearly changed to a lust for slaughter.

“(Heeeh... what do we have here...?) I’ll fucking crush you, you disgusting animal, get out of here.”
