Screenshot redraw and a bit more about my rewrite

Night Life now named Knight Life (yes it's lazy now hush) Is going to be different because of two changed plot points

A.) Because Marcia is working as Lavabo's squire here, she doesn't know about Star's sleep spells (rewrote Sweet Dreams to be a slumber party with her friends)

B.) Marcia doesn't actually remember her time spent in the Neverzone so instead of remembering things, she writes information in a notebook forward and back.

On with the story!!

By this point of the season, Marica has started to get a hang of being out, and living on Mewni, but still struggles with some of the social stuff. One day, while she was trying to find a place to eat in the cafeteria, Heckapoo barges in saying she needs Marcia's help with something. It's revealed that Heckapoo's been dealing with portals opening all over the multiverse and across the Neverzone causing chaos and while a younger Marcia might not be 100% useful, her adult self definitely is.

Heckapoo offers to train Marcia some more in exchange for helping with the portals, and while Marcia doesn't want to be disrespectful to her current job, Lavabo fully supports her given the fact Heckapoo outranks him by a lot. This continues for a little over a week, with Heckapoo now instilling Marcia's scissors with an additional touch of magic, so now she's able to transform them by splitting her scissor into knifes, butterfly swords, or a broadsword and helps train her with all three.

While on Mewni, Marcia has been learning more about its history and is uncomfortable with the fact that Heckapoo took a part in Solaria's genocide, but she tries to rationalize it by telling herself that Heckapoo has changed and doesn't seem all that interested in it anymore. A part of her wants to ask what Heckapoo was thinking while she did all of that, but the other part is scared because she genuinely likes being around Heckapoo as they've developed an almost sibling dynamic.

This all comes to a head when it's revealed that Star is the one sleep portaling and when Talon almost shoots Star, Marcia manages to shove the weapon at the last minute. Now Heckapoo and Marcia are yelling at each other because Marcia is questioning Heckapoo's morals and Heckapoo is mad that Marcia isn't letting her do her job and doesn't really care about what she did in the past. Heckapoo wants to lock Star up, but Marcia argues that it isn't fair given Star probably isn't even aware of what's happening, so Talon (who's getting flashbacks of his family yelling) shouts out for a dragon cycle race to see whose idea gets followed. Marcia isn't as experienced with riding Dragon Cycles at her current age, but Nachos is familiar with her rider, and the two manage to pull through and win the race. Even though Marcia won, this whole situation sours her relationship with Heckapoo, and they part on bad terms. While it hurts to lose someone she looked up to, she doesn't have any regrets on what she said, and now wants to focus on helping Star out before the MHC gets involved.

(I do have ideas for the more Star-centric episodes but this was a scene I wanted to redraw which led to the idea of a rewrite)

Deciding to do the remaining MHC for the character meme, starting with Hekapoo. Next with probably be Omni, then Glossaryck, unless anyone wants Glossaryck first.

First impression: “Oh, so she’s the one who made the dimensional scissors? I kind of just assumed they were...just a thing in this world, something completely mundane to most dimensions. Well, she seems interesting enough, and I like the design.”

Impression now: “Why is the member of the MHC who comes across as the most anti-Monster and honestly seemed to show the least remorse over the Meteora cover-up the one who got the ‘redemption’ and was willing to let herself die to give Star a way to stop Mina and save the Monsters?”

Favorite moment: While her calling out other characters usually annoys me, I did actually like her pointing out to Moon how messed up it was to keep the fact that the Book and Glossaryck were stolen from the MHC? Mostly because I’m always a fan of conflicts where I can see the points of both sides, and that was definitely an example of that. 

Idea for a story: This is admittedly only somewhat related to her, but considering it seems like the Avarius family was given dimensional scissors, I’d love to see how Hekapoo would have responded to being told she had to give them a pair? Because she was pretty consistently shown to be the most on board with war when it came to dealing with Monsters, so I couldn’t imagine her being happy about having to make scissors for a Monster family. 

Unpopular opinion: Since everyone already knows that I think she’s kind of overrated, I’ll just say I don’t think she has any real attraction to Marco? I mean, I do think she likes him, but she is presumably at least a thousand or so years old, if not older, and regardless of his psychical body, he is basically always under 16 in terms of maturity and mentality. 

Favorite relationship: I mean, I feel like the default answer to this is Marco? She really doesn’t interact with any other characters in a noteworthy way, not even her own “brothers”. Heck, I barely remember her talking to Star directly. 

Favorite headcanon: This might basically be canon, but she’s the only member of the MHC who’s really had any kind of relationship, even if they didn’t really last and regardless of if they were platonic or romantic, outside of the rest of the MHC or the Butterfly family. However, she barely remembers any of them, since most of the lifespans of the others in those relationships are basically a split second to her.
