Song of the Day #349
"Jinx" by DNCE from Swaay, 2015
Time for my favourite DNCE song, full stop.
I’m pretty sure I was listening to this song practically everyday for all of December 2019. I remember texting @50shadesofextra joking about it counting as a Christmas song, since there’s mistletoe in it.
It’s a lot more chill than a lot of their stuff, especially their self-titled album, DNCE. It definitely has a very different vibe from songs like Body Moves, Cake By the Ocean, and even Truthfully. While most of the songs on their first EP, SWAAY, appears on their full album, I think it’s really worth listening to it on its own. For one thing, Jinx is another one of my favourite DNCE songs, and it doesn’t appear on the album. But I think when you listen to SWAAY you can really hear the band’s funk influences without being distracted by some of the more pop-heavy songs.
The importance of women's communities
There are many benefits and the importance of engaging in the women's community, such as getting personal and professional support or finding new opportunities, or touching the unlearned things. Suppose you are facing something terrible in your workplace. You can raise a voice against it through women's communities because it is not easy to do alone. Again think you, in your workplace, have no opportunities like a male. You can expose this matter through women's communities, and it is the best way to raise your voice against injustice.
Women's communities
The impact of women-only networks throughout the world is an increasing phenomenon. Having been excluded from offices, social spaces, and business networks, girls have taken the initiative and began independently. The inherent gender prejudices in conventional networks have also nudged women towards building their communities; SWAAY is like one of them attempting to show the ideal path for women. There are some things as satisfying as being a part of a circle of women as small or big as it could be --and understanding that you have an empowering, encouraging crowd SWAAY has your back.
Why should you involve women communities?
1. To find a safe space In a world where women speak unafraid.
2. To find professional and personal assistance. The best advice is more likely to come from somebody who has experienced what you are going through. The majority of women admit they're encouraged by the knowledge that they are not alone in facing workplace sex bias, domestic violence, reproductive health issues, etc. They're motivated to help other girls in the community by sharing their knowledge through their own experiences.
3. To find new opportunities: The significance of relationships ought to be appreciated in private and professional. As women gradually aim to bridge the business industry gap, you will find possibilities for female entrepreneurs and professionals to climb the corporate boss. Online communities are devoted to supporting girls in global supply chains and are set out to know how to tackle the challenges holding back progress on women's economic empowerment.
5. To amplify women's voices, Media and culture lack authentic representations of women. In this situation, women need a strong community for raising their voice, where they will talk frankly. And SWAAY is that platform where women can increase their inner voice.
6. To find new opportunities.
7.To find personal and professional support.
After all, we can say that there is no alternative for women communities to develop their situation. So be a part of women's communities and encourage them to get out her comfort zone.
