She almost couldn’t believe her eyes upon seeing him. Evelynn would have liked to have been the only one selected from her old world, and it was just her luck that the first person she recognized had to be The Grand General of Noxus.
She couldn’t say that she knew any more about him than any ordinary citizen. The shadows of the high court of Noxus appeared to be an A-list event, and her invitation seemed to have been lost in the mail. A mundane demon like her was sure to have raven feathers poking the roof of her mouth if she even tried to get near the man.
Still, she had heard the rumors, whispered in fear or reverence depending on the region. The rumors that Jericho Swain had taken control of a demon. Watching how he carries himself now, Evelynn found herself believing them. Worse still, she even owed him; some Noxian campaigns under his command had left her feeling almost as satisfied as the horrors of the Rune wars.
Oh well. Spirale was going to be her new turf, and even someone like him could become her toy in this shining city of opportunity. At least, this is what she tells herself as she realizes she wasn’t going to escape his scrutinizing gaze anytime soon, once her staring attracts his attention.
She smiles and beckons the General over with a wave. “You’re Beatrice’s, aren’t you? Seems unfair to me that they’d let you two in on a ticket for one.”
