Happy birthday! I was gonna say have a great day, but you've probably got some fantastic ales and slabs of dead animal and meet-up already planned, since you live like some sort of anarchist emperor, so I know you will. And keep on being a year older than me, I'm not planning to catch up anytime soon!

Since I didn't have all the slabs and ale today (though my dinner was magnificent) I have decided to have several birthday dinners (and my party will be after I return from Japan).  That way there will be much slabbing and ale-ing, and the people of the Anarchic Empire shall rejoice!

I'm going to skip a couple of birthdays just to let you catch up, by the way, just fair warning ;)

OHP at 2am and carna asada at midnight? you need to sleep! but yeah Wendler 531 is bitchin, super efficient, you will have gainz and hyper trophies.

This is convincing me more and more to run it for a few months.  I want the gainz and hyper trophies!!!!  (actually, I just want to experiment with something new, efficient, and productive)

Every time I see the words “you don’t get to” I think “but clearly they did so they do get to, they just shouldn’t”. It tends to ruin an otherwise good point if your main argument is you’ll wag your finger until they don’t give a fuck and continue.

OK, A) I laughed my ass off at the idea of sitting their waving my finger at impassively staring interlocutors LOL  B) You make a good point.  I suppose, when I really think about, what I'm intending (but not really saying) with that turn of phrase is "you don't get to do that and have historical fact magically reconfirm itself to fit what you want to believe and therefore have your ideas be included within the debate as equally reflective of reality."  But, again, I'm not clearly stating that so, while I'm not at all saying I'll sit and hold my breath until my face turns blue, I'm probably not giving the fullest account of what I mean, either. :P
