Is the con from 9am on the 14th and ends at 11:45pm on the 15th? Does it go all night? Sorry I'm just confused as to how you posted your hours.
Sorry about the confusion! The con will have opening ceremonies at 10:30am on Saturday, the 14th, and anything going on will end at midnight. Hours on Sunday, the 15th, will be from 10:30am-9pm.
Will your staff be working on signs this year? I believe that was a major thing you needed to work on, as everyone got lost often and there was no clear sign to where to go!
Yes, we will have signs! Our staff actually had a meeting last year specifically dedicated to making signs.
However, since SwampCon will be entirely contained to the Reitz Union only (instead of including the Welcome Center and Weimer Hall like in previous years), it will hopefully be less likely to get lost!
How big of an attendance do you expect in 2017?
Our attendance for SwampCon V (2016) was over 3000, so we’re hoping to expect around the same number!
I was wondering if this is the same comic con that happened last February in 2016? Did ya'll move it to January?
Yes, we held SwampCon V on Valentine’s weekend of 2016.
This year, SwampCon: Frontier aka SwampCon 2017 will be January 14th-15th, 2017! We have also held SwampCon in January in previous years.
The vendors were outside in a very windy place, and the building was undergoing a lot of renovations last year. Will these be changed?
Yes, we actually have the opportunity to use all the space the newly completed Reitz Union has to offer! Vendors have been moved indoors to the Rion Ballroom, which is located on the third floor.
I'm on mobile and I cannot find how much it is to rent out a vendors table / artist alley spot! Please help!
Hi there! The cost for a table/booth is $170.00 USD total for both Saturday and Sunday.
Is the schedule known yet? I checked the website swampcon(.)org and nothing showed about schedules.
