I am still deeply injured by the two lover goalies being divorced
I'm going to be dramatic about the Bruins for a moment: Ullmark, Lauko, DeBrusk, Grzelcyk; you can win the cup without them... won't it feel hollow, though? Marchy will conquer Mt Doom for Bergy, and Zadarov is respecting the Big Z legacy... but.... maybe I'll feel the heartbeat again when the team gets together on the ice.
Personally, I'm sure Swayman will take a plane, train, ferry, mountaineering guide and a Sherpa to share a cup day with Ully (he'll even have packed cinnamon rolls).
I've been dramatic once and I'll do it again: Swayman is holding out for fewer years, not just more money. The conversation about his worth in relation to the cap growth is important for that reason. He has experienced how fraught the league can be when they traded Ullman. Not, "My bestie went", rather "You just took my mentor/friend/bestie AND TRADED HIM while expecting me to be the number one goalie without paying me like I'm your number one goalie!!!"

Sooo, Ully got a shut-out against the Leafs, the team that dirty-deeded Sway back in the day. What I can't decide is who has the bigger smile - Ully: I exacted revenge in your honour; or Sway: My bestie, my bro, he did that for me 🥰
