Hi there, Peter here and thanks for checking out my blog.  You’ve come to the right place if you’re looking for a Sweat Block Review.  Sweat Block is a product that was featured on the Rachel Ray show that claims to help stop excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis.

So What Exactly is Sweat Block?

Sweat Block is a Super Antiperspirant Wipe designed to stop excessive sweating.  It is applied once a week and will keep you dry and sweat free for up to 7 days.  Sweat Block can help people that struggle with Hyperhidrosis, Chronic Sweating, Excessive Underarm Sweating, Menopausal Sweating, Teen Sweating and Nervous Sweating.  For more info on the types of Excessive Sweating, read my post below.

I was very interested to see if Sweat Block could help me with Nervous Sweating.  I tend to suffer from excessive underarm sweating when I get nervous or when dealing with a stressful situation.  There is nothing worse than having sweat stains on your shirt during a presentation at work or school and you feel like you have no control with it.

Here is exactly how Sweat Block works:

Sweat Block works by blocking the sweat glands.  Sweat Block is made of aluminum chloride that’s stronger than over the counter antiperspirants.  The aluminum goes into the sweat ducts and causes them to swell so the sweat can’t escape on that part of the body.  It’s safe because you can perspire through other parts of your body.  It’s a great intermediary step for people who have not found success with other regular products and they don’t want to go the Doctor yet for a prescription.

Sweat Block is applied before you go to bed.  You open up the wipe and dab it on the part of your body you are targeting.  I was targeting my underarms so I dabbed them before going to bed.  I will stress this point to everyone…..DO NOT RUB the wipes, dab them.  The rubbing is what can cause irritation.  I rubbed Sweat Block on the first time I used it and it stung a little bit.  Air dry for 5 minutes and you’re done.  While you are sleeping and your sweat glands are less active, the Sweat Block Formula goes to work.  In the morning, you can shower and get ready for your day like normal.  I was a little skeptical the first day after applying the Sweat Block the night before.  I had to remind myself not to apply my normal antiperspirant.  The first day I stayed dry!  I couldn’t believe how well it worked against my excessive underarm sweating.  I was curious to see if it really would last 7 days.

The BAD things about Sweat Block

With every product there are some good and bad things about it.  During my Sweat Block review I found that it  can irritate your skin if you rub the wipes on.  The 2nd time I applied it, I had no problems.  So read the directions and DO NOT RUB.

I found that on the 7th day, I was sweating a little bit so I would re-apply the Sweat Block every 6 days for me.  You can also use a natural deodorant if you wish as Sweat Block helps stop excessive sweating but it might not stop your natural body odour.  I didn’t need to apply anything else other than the Sweat Block.

I found that during my Sweat Block review it was very easy to apply and was very soothing(DO NOT RUB).  I found it to be very effective against my excessive sweating.  I think it is an effective product for anyone who suffers from hyperhidrosis or other types of over sweating.  It did stop my excessive underarm sweating for 6.5 days.  Sweat Block if relatively inexpensive compared to other store bought clinical antiperspirants.
