Seek the divine blessings of Lord Shiva and Budha Bhagavan (planet Mercury) at Swetharanyeswarar Temple, located in Thiruvenkadu, a quaint village in the Mayiladuthurai district of Tamil Nadu.
Lord Shiva is enshrined here as Swetaranyeswarar and His consort Goddess Parvati as Brahma Vidya Nayaki. Swetharanyeswarar Temple is fourth among the nine Navagraha Temples where Lord Budha Graha, the planet Mercury is worshipped.
Worshipping Budha Bhagavan at this temple and offering special poojas, especially on Wednesdays is considered auspicious to alleviate Budha dosha.
