here’s that swift! he was a bit smelly but thankfully i was able to save the wings. their feet are so odd - tiny feet with huge sharp claws, perfect for gripping onto cliffs! ❤ i nearly flew off my bike braking for it when i realized what it was!

my friend joined me on my walk a couple weeks ago! we actually saw a lot of deads - a wren, great tit, and duck not shown, but all three were either squashed (first two) or inaccessible. i was gutted as at that point i was empty-handed. we then went home to his on a route i hadnt taken since december and that’s when we found gold - a headless female blackbird!!! 🤣 at that point i picked up a couple bees too and i love pinning bees. already happy, we biked on, and i went on to alert a whole neighborhood about a dead SWIFT! 💕 i couldnt believe my eyes, a swift was one of my dream finds!
