It’s a little weird how Theros has both lions and leonin.

If my opponent uses Swift Reckoning on my creature after I attack do they still take the combat damage or no.

It depends on when they cast it, but generally they’ll do so before damage is dealt. Their last chance to cast it and prevent your creature from dealing combat damage is during the declare blockers step.
