How hard is it for us to accept really good gifts? We are always curious about the motives; we apologize for not being able to reciprocate; we feel guilt for not thinking to get a gift... And the range of thoughts and emotions is grave. Praying today that no matter what the world teaches us about performance, motives and guilt that we can learn to truly accept the grace of God. I pray our hearts can soften, we can drop the burden of carrying our own sin and guilt and openly receive the grace of God.
