I must get something off my chest. I’ve had the same two bathing suits for the last six years. Whoo! That felt good to admit!
But seriously, I just was never in the mood for buying swimsuits. What I had worked for me and being that I only went to any watering front at the most 2 times a year, it just seemed like an unnecessary purchase. It wasn’t until I began thinking about outfits for my vacation did I realize that I would need new bathing suits. I had gotten over the hurdle of my body in a bathing suit a while ago, so I was open to any style. I wanted to share some trendy bathing suit styles that caught my eye the most! Although I did not purchase any of these styles for vacation, I think these trends are very wearable and will be great for the upcoming summer months.
Trend 1: Leopard
Listen… I swear that I don’t own a closet full of leopard pieces. I just love this print!!! It fan be fun and punchy when worked with a pop of color or classic when the print is muted and paired with beiges and blacks. I love the one piece the most and could see it with a pair of dark wash high waisted shorts and a pair of cat eye sunglasses. But these 2 pieces is very cute and young with the pops of pink and the high waisted bottoms.
Trend 2: Knotted Pieces
I think this trend is so cute and girly. I’ve seen this look on a lot of social media influencers and celebrities. Again, I think this look would pair nicely with a pair of dark wash high waisted shorts. I think it works best with more muted colors and patterns. The polka dots against the brown just screams island vacation to me. I think browns, light pinks, and palm tree or polka dot patterns works the best for this trend.
Trend 3: Underwire Bikinis
I think this is the bathing suit look I covet the most. Underwire bathing suits had always been associated with a more mature looking swimsuit. I love that the underwire trend is supportive and super stylish. I think that this style works best in black and nude. I again think this style would be cute with a pair of shorts, or even a printed wrap sarong.
