Gregory screamed and sat up suddenly. He looked around the room, heavily breathing. He ripped the blanket off himself and jumped off the bed. But to his surprise, his body didn’t fall off the bed. But, his body slapped against some wood instead. He felt the wood underneath his fingers, and looked around.
There was a large sign that said [FREDDY FAZBEAR’S PIZZAPLEX] on the wall over the gate, and there were two wooden crates on either side of him. Where…Where is he?
“Hello, little boy.” Someone said beside him. Gregory widened his eyes and turned towards the voice. The huge animatronic walked up to him, staring at Gregory with his bright red eyes, and his half smile.
Gregory sprinted to Moondrop and tackled him down to the ground. “MOON!” Gregory shouted, hugging him tightly.
Moon looked down at Gregory, wrapping his arms around the boy. “What’s wrong? Are you hurt?” Moon asked him.
Gregory sobbed and closed his eyes as he started to cry. Moon silently grabbed a blanket, and wrapped it around his shoulder. He gently lifted Gregory’s head, laid the blanket onto his own shoulder and laid Gregory back against the blanket. “I want to let you cry. But water is not good for my animatronic parts.” Moon told him.
Gregory nodded, before bursting out crying all over again. He held the blanket with his right hand, and hugged Moon again with his left arm.
His crying lasted for a good 10 minutes. 10 minutes of sobbing, crying, whimpering and tears. By the end of 10 minutes, the blanket was completely soaked.
“Alright, Gregory. Do you want to talk about it now?” Moon asked.
Gregory looked up at Moon, his cheeks completely red from crying. He sniffled and rubbed his nose. “Well…” He looked down. “It’s stupid…” He told Moon.
“It’s not stupid if it makes you scared.” Moon told him. “You are allowed to feel fear for anything. Even spiders!” Moon told him.
Gregory shook his head, feeling himself cry a bit more. “No…It’s dumb. I know you want to tell me it’s dumb.” Gregory sobbed.
“...How can I call it dumb if I don’t even know what your dream was about?” Moon asked.
“Different people fear different things. People fear zombies, people fear sickness, people even fear being loved.” Moon told him. “I met a child who was scared of her car running out of gas.” Moon told him.
“R…Really?” Gregory asked.
“But that was because she didn’t know how they would get back home without gas. And once I explained how they would get home…she lost some of her fear.” He told Gregory.
Gregory nodded, looking down still.
“People are scared of what they don’t fully understand.” Moon told him.
Gregory looked at Moon. “Are you scared of something?” Gregory asked Moon.
Moon thought for a moment. “Well…” He put his index finger against his own chin. “Yes. I am scared of something.” Moon told him.
Gregory seemed to calm down the slightest bit upon hearing that alone. “What are you scared of?”
Moon smiled a bit. “I’m scared of kids that don’t follow rules, haha!” Moon joked.
But Gregory’s face dropped in annoyance and dread. He sighed and shook his head. “Nevermind.” He said, looking away with slight annoyance.
Moon looked down and shook his head. “But…for real…I’m scared of losing my brother.” Moon admitted.
Gregory looked over to Moon hesitantly as he continued.
“I’m scared of losing Sun…waking up and seeing him either being taken away or shut down against his will.” Moon admitted. “I couldn’t live with myself if he was taken away from me. We’re brothers. We have each other’s backs till the end.” Moon told him.
Gregory looked at Moon with a new set of eyes. He slowly started to feel empathy for The Daycare Attendant. He’s scared of losing his brother…Gregory knew how it felt to lose family…he knew that all too well.
“I’m sorry.” Gregory told him.
Moon shook his head. “The chances of that happening are low, anyway.” Moon told him, trying to lighten up the mood.
“Regardless…that’s scary for anyone.” Gregory said.
Moon looked down a bit, struggling to not let it get to him. “Y…” He sighed. “Y-yeah. It is.” He finally replied.
“But that’s okay. It’s okay to be scared.” Gregory told him.
“It’s okay for you to be scared too, Little boy.” Moon told him.
Gregory nodded and hugged Moon again. He appreciated the empathy Moon was showing him. It felt nice to be heard and accepted. “My nightmare was about losing Freddy.” Gregory admitted. “Freddy powering down, and me not being able to save him. And knowing he was trying to save me when I should’ve been the one to save him.” Gregory admitted.
“Gregory…” Moon looked at Gregory. “Even if he were to power down and leave you alone…He is willing to sacrifice his own life for you. And I think you should honor that.” Moon told him. “Though I agree, it is sad that Freddy had run out of battery…and mourning him is something you should definitely do…make sure you also thank Freddy for all he’s done for you. Cause there aren’t a lot of animatronics who will choose humans over themselves.” Moon added.
Gregory nodded and closed his eyes. He rested his head against Moon’s belly for a little while longer, taking in the cool comfort Moon was providing him. His breathing slowed for a few minutes at most…
Then a small smile grew onto Gregory’s face as he took in a breath, turned his head to the front and blew a raspberry onto Moon’s belly.
Moon’s eyes widened as his eyes went white with surprise. “Wait- BAHAHAHAhahahahaha!” Moon laughed. “Nohoho fahahair! Nooo fahahahahair!” He laughed.
Gregory giggled and looked up. “What?” He asked. “Ticklish?” He asked.
“Yohohou-” Moon picked up Gregory and started skittering his fingers all over both of Gregory’s armpits. “You think you can tickle the moon without being tickled back, naughty boy~?” Moon asked, seemingly recovered within milliseconds.
Gregory screamed and bursted out cackling. “GAAAHAHAHAHAHA! WAIT NOHOHOHO! HAHAHAHAHAHA!” Gregory shouted and laughed, wiggling around all over the place.
“No what? No fair?” Moon asked.
“YEAHAHAHAAA!” Gregory replied.
“What are you talking about? All is fair in a 2-person tickle fight.” Moon reacted.
“IHIHIS NOT!” Gregory argued.
Moon gasped and paused tickling. “How DARE you contradict me!” Moon reacted, acting offended. “Now cheer up, naughty boy!” Moon declared as he lowered his fingers down…and started digging his fingers into Gregory’s vulnerable hips.
Gregory started kicking and cackling in an almost animalistic fashion…Almost like Gregory had turned into a wild, baby chimpanzee. “IHIHIT’S SOHOHOHO MEHEHEEEAN!” Gregory yelled.
“It iiiiis?” Moon teased. “How funny you say that…” He said with a sly, mischievous voice.
Gregory’s laughter started to die down slightly as he felt Moon’s fingers move up to his sides this time. “HAHAHAHAHAhahahahaha!” Gregory laughed, shaking his head left and right as he gripped Moon’s wrists.
“My my…you have more strength than I thought you’d have!” Moon reacted. “Tell me: How many stackable chairs can you lift up on your own?” Moon asked.
“Hehehehehe- Threeheheheheee.” Gregory replied.
“Wow! Now that’s a lot! I’m pleasantly surprised!” Moon reacted as he turned his body into a rainbow curve so he could see Greg’s face perfectly with his upside-down face. “Tell me:” Moon stopped tickling and jumped over Gregory’s head. His feet landed on the ground in front of Gregory, facing the boy as he landed. “Can you lift me up?” Moon asked him.
“Whahaha- Whahat?” Gregory asked, confused. “Yohohou’re mehetal. Why would Ihi be able to lihift you if yohou’re metal?” Gregory asked.
“That’s simple!” Moon walked closer to Gregory and knelt down. “My body is built with porous metals! Meaning I am lighter in weight, but still high quality!” Moon declared, showing him his . “My brother, Sun, is also made with that type of steel!” Moon added. “So try and lift me up!” Moon told him.
Gregory chuckled and shrugged his shoulders. “Okay…” He watched as Moon knelt down to allow Gregory to grab his waist instead of his baggy legs.
Gregory stretched out his fingers in front, cracking them in the process, before making a circle with both his upper arms. With Gregory ready, he wrapped his arms around Moon’s thin waist and lifted him up. Gregory felt as Moon was surprisingly lifted off the ground.
“You’re doing it!” Moon reacted. “You’re lifting me up!” Moon reacted, excitedly.
“I…I am?” Gregory asked.
“Yes! You’re lifting me! You can lift me!” Moon reacted.
Gregory chuckled and looked up at Moon. “This is easier than I thought!”
“You’re so strong!” Moon reacted.
“I could do this for another hour!” Gregory reacted.
“Really?!” Moon reacted. “Alright! Let’s see how long you can do it for!” Moon decided.
“Okay.” Gregory replied. “Let’s see how long I can hold you uhuhUHUHUP- WAIT WAHAHAIHIHIHIT!” Gregory suddenly burst out laughing.
“What?” Moon asked, his smirk growing more and more menacing. “Ticklish?” He asked, repeating Gregory’s words from earlier.
“YEHEHEHESSS!” Gregory yelled, before quickly dropping Moon.
Only Moon’s knees were affected in this scenario…but not very much. His knees only clunked against the wooden floor. “Oop- That was 19.52 seconds.” Moon told him.
Gregory was doubled over, and hugging his armpits as he kept giggling. “Youhuhuhu cheheateher.” Gregory muttered under his breath.
“Ch-Cheater?!” Moon reacted. “Yeheah! You cheated!” Gregory reacted.
“I did not! I wanted to see how long you’d last holding onto me!” Moon reacted.
“But you tickled me while I was holding you! That’s dangerous!” Gregory yelled.
“I had it under control. I knew to move my hands back once you dropped me.” Moon told him.
“Still considered cheating.” Gregory muttered.
“It made you feel better, didn’t it?” Moon asked.
Gregory huffed and crossed his arms, looking to the right. “...Yeah…” He replied somewhat quietly.
Moon’s smile lessened a bit. “Tell you what:” Moon opened his arms. “You get 10 minutes to tickle me without any retaliation during, or after.” Moon told him.
“10 minutes?” Gregory clarified.
“10 minutes.” Moon replied.
Gregory looked Moon up and down with a slight smile. “...And no retaliation?”
“No retaliation during, or after the 10 minutes.” Moon replied.
Gregory’s smile grew as he offered his hand. “Deal.”
Moon shook Gregory’s hand. “10 minutes starts in 3…2-”
Gregory pulled on Moon’s arm, causing him to fall onto the ground. He turned Moon over and started skittering his fingers all over Moon’s belly and sides. “GO!” Gregory declared.
“YOHOHOU CHEHEHEATEHED!” Moon shouted as he struggled to start the timer on his eye screen.
“Great! I get an extra 2 seconds! Now it’s 10 minutes and 2 seconds!” Gregory declared next.
“FIHIHINE.” Moon finally started the timer, and watched as the timer went from 10.00, to 9.59. “NOHOHOW GOHOHO NUTS!” Moon shouted to him.
Gregory paused his tickling for only a second, so he could say one single response.
“Gladly~”
