TETRIS 99 - AN INSTANT CLASSIC!
We’ve all seen the runaway hype and explosion of Apex Legends but of all of the Battle Royale tweaks we’ve had over the last year, one of the last tie-ins I expected was Tetris, but that is what Nintendo gave us on the back of last week’s Nintendo Direct presentation.
I’ve been playing it over the last week and it’s as addictive as it ever was. Most of all, it’s completely free on the Nintendo eShop if you’re a Nintendo Online subscriber. Yes, it might just be Tetris after all but there’s an extra level of addictiveness that playing with 99 other players at the same time offers you.
It wants you to create multiple lines as sure, clearing single lines is good for housekeeping but clear multiple lines and you’ll do some real damage to your enemies.
If you’re a either a wisened Tetris veteran or someone who is new to this classic, you’re sure to love this slant and what’s more entertaining than Tetris on the go.
It’s free to download now on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch and hopefully we’ll see it on the other platforms shortly as it would be the ideal title for some cross-play action!
