The sword build is almost finished the sword is complete just the scabard remains. This sword build was just intended from the beginning to be about tension and balance. The fire and water, left and right. The hilt is set with two ruby's and two star sapphires. The blade is a mix of 340 layer forced random with a inset core of campfire pattern made by @jamielundell the pommel is hollow with mosaic Damascus panels set in silver a caped with a star sapphire. The form of the sword is that of one I had the opportunity to document with @gcknives_inc in the collection of the MET in NY. @jordanlamotheblades and I keep the blade as close as possible to the orginal the size shape and form or both the gard and pommel follow closely to the orginal. Spent a little more time working on the sword today I got the handle shape is finalized and did the underwrap I roughed in the guard shape and finished cutting down the pommel. Pretty much all finish work from here on out. As it sits it is 10 oz heavier than the original.
