Holy fuck... Uhh... shoot still working on my less evocative language skills, got a youngling around, but dang. This has some wonderful points for a student, for a teacher, for an interpreter, for the guy/girl that talks to themself/themselves. The explain/ re-explain idea is brilliant. I mean it's really only conversation. But it's also a little bit debate. Thumbs way up.
Determining Crossings

This form will be used to hopefully gain a better understanding of how different distance management techniques (footwork) affect the location of the crossing on each fencers' sword.
There are obviously an incredible amount variables that go into what makes a crossing but our goal is to gain greater understanding in the things that we can quantify and measure with a reasonable degree of accuracy and precision. The larger our information sample the more accurate our ideas will hopefully be.
We performed our experiment by applying athletic tape to the edges of our swords and then numbered the location of the strike on the tape while performing the same strike and parry at different distances. After the tape was marked to whatever limit it managed to endure, each strike location was measured from the tip and recorded. Another method for recording data may be to use contrasting colored chalk and relying on transfer.
The current tabulation of all results can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aW3zGxrriXqKdBHRpBFGDkNRSNh2X56xmpRlAbg8gsM/edit?usp=sharing
There are several data manipulations performed on some of the tabs provided in the spreadsheet. I’d say if you want to make independent data evaluations, that you make a consistent tag in the comment section for ease of data filtering.

are you still a sword nerd?
((Hey guys sorry for being away so long! The great pause of SU content really took it outta me but I’m back.))
Have you ever seen a necklace made of pearls?
