Would anyone happen to know the proper etiquette around swords in MDZS verse, or really just in general I guess for the time period (or for Xianxia novels). Is passing a sword from one generation to the next something that is done? I know that Jin Ling has JZX’s sword, and Jiang Cheng has Madam Yu’s Zidain (which I’m pretty sure was passed down to her?) But these are the only examples I can think of. Is a sword traditionally buried with its master? I think I read somewhere about swords being put in the ancestral hall after a person dies?? Does is not matter if the sword goes to the ancestral hall or to a direct descendant? Is it up to family elders? What’s the tea? Also just any links and info about sword etiquette in general would be super awesome!!
