KAREN:  Fight club wound down as it always did– petering out as person by person peeled off, no set end besides people’s personal schedules. Eventually, the people left were drinking and chatting rather than fighting. Which meant that it was time for Gem’s appointment.

Karen’s job was– well, to get him there.  They’d texted Vidia beforehand, who had told Gem that at the end of fight club that they’d head to the meeting spot. So he was prepared for that bit. Was he prepared for Karen to be the one in charge? Probably not. Then again, he was a smart cookie. He’d probably put two and two together.

They moseyed on over to where Gem and Vidia were chatting. “Oi, ready to go? I’ll be your personal chauffeur for the night,” they joked.
