Beatrix wasn't having a good day. She watched the clock as the teacher seemed to be droning on and on about something she'd learned ages ago. Did her dads honestly thought that she was that dense? Either way, it meant that she was bored and she wanted the class to just end.
She got a momentary relief from her boredom as a note made it to her desk. She carefully unfolded it as she acted like she was making notes.
She resisted the urge to groan out of frustration as she saw that it was yet another note to her, asking her to orchestrate some meeting between some girl she hardly knew and her brother. Ever since the girls in her class became interested in guys, notes to her seemed to fall into a few categories: advice on how to approach her brother, asking for her to introduce the other person to her brother, and asking if her brother was single. If she was very lucky, it was a note from a guy wanting a date. But for the most part, they seemed to always be more interested in her brother than in her and it was frustrating.
It had been worse before the clique took her in and it became unwise to badger her over something like that because she was "better" than to be badgered over her brother's existence. And they at least acted like they saw her as more than just an access point to her brother. Or would be if she was more able to go to after school activities with them rather than seemingly being kept at home.
Seemingly to rescue her from the tedium, the bell rang and the teacher dismissed the class and she made her way to her locker. But she just couldn't help but to get a feeling that things were going wrong. She could sense that her dads were obviously focused on something, but she couldn't tell what. But they seemed to be that way when she and Cal were at school.
When she opened the door to her locker, she watched as a pile of small, folded up pieces of paper fell out of the locker, clearly notes for her. She let out a sigh as she stashed the books and binder for the previous class and started to pack her backpack with homework and with the stuff for the final class of the day.
