Looking back up at the boy with eyes filled with tears that she fought to suppress Jun sniffed. It was obvious enough at this point that she was on the verge of bursting out into tears but it was so embarrassing even when it would be understood considering the scrape on her knee. “I-I know that! I just don’t want to…" She muttered as she looked down at the fresh blood starting to drip down her skin. It stung, it hurt and she’d had a really bad day. This was just the cherry on top of it all and really—all she wanted to do right now was cry.

walking to the train station to go home hajime had passed by something he usually did not see -- specifically a young girl clad in his school's uniform on the ground, her knee injured and wounded, broken flesh .& fresh red seeping from it. hajime, as a first instinct, immediately assisted her, retrieving a small first aid kit from his volleyball bag and pulling out cotton balls and medicine. "look, this is going to hurt a little. so, hang on?" he said to the stranger.

"Jun, wait." Ayu grabs her roommate's wrist, trying to stop her from running out, but she refuses to speak. Simply shaking her head and trying to break from the smaller girl's grip;
"Jun, look. I'm sorry....but did you really think we were dating? You can't....you can't take stuff like that seriously, or you could get hurt." She stops shaking her head, but Ayu can feel her body shaking. She was under the impression Jun was away for a tournament, and as such, she wanted to have a little fun. It's not like it's the first time she's invited some guy over.
Why is that so hard to understand? They weren't even together, why was she so upset?
"Jun.....two girls can't be in love. We can't get married. That's just not something that happens. It was fun while it lasted, but....you know, one day, you and I are going to part ways and have families with some guys somewhere." Her voice started shaking, almost as if she's trying to tell herself that and not the speechless brunette.
"It....it just won't work."

“It’s a little early for that isn’t it?”
"You don't know that for sure. Some people find complete happiness in arranged marriages, after all..!"

It was probably a fruitless endeavor. If anyone should know by now that Kuroo was horrible in the kitchen, a fact as indisputable as the sky being blue or Gintama being the best anime series, it should've been Jun. Beyond that, it was his birthday. Wasn't the whole thing supposed to be something like her making a cake for him, rather than teaching him? But here they were, Kuroo lining the ingredients out and looking at her dubiously, one of her own frilly aprons over his clothes (was that even necessary, really).
"What first, sensei?" he asked, rather sarcastically even though he had a sheepish look on his face. Maybe he was… a little excited, but he still didn't have high hopes for himself when it came to baking his own birthday cake. Maybe it was the fact that Jun always looked so happy cooking. "…And thanks. Really, I mean it."
