What if Banshees have some modicum of control over Hellhounds. What if that's why Lydia and Jordan are constantly drawn together? They said it themselves, they're both harbingers of death. And things didn't really start turning towards the supernatural until Jordan actually met Lydia at the Walcott house. (Granted his powers only manifested once he was burned alive.) Just a thought.
