Met Syd Cain, who died yesterday, on a film set several years ago (for a tv feature that was filmed in his retirement home, he must have retired a few years beforehand). It was only after the shoot that I looked him up on the IMDB and realised what a significant contribution he made to the film industry. This obituary goes into further detail regarding the specific designs he did for a few of the more well known features he worked on. Didn't realise I was stood next to the man who designed the dragon tank in 'Dr. No' at the time. RIP Syd Cain
