🌿 I’m taking part in #marchmeetthemaker again! ✨ During March, I’ll be sharing my story and art thoughts based on the given prompts. Day 1 is BRAND INTRO ✨ For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Vickie, 👋 the artist behind “Studio KaKa Art” (the name “KaKa” is my Chinese name). I’m based in Sydney, Australia and I love to paint! I didn’t realise how much I loved it until I took a short painting course back in 2016! I’ve experimented a lot since then and have found that my heart lies with capturing the beauty of nature. I love painting landscapes but I REALLY love painting florals. I just love how perfectly imperfect they are with their quirky shapes, gorgeous variety of colours and arrangements! I paint from my home studio (the second bedroom in a tiny apartment) and frequently visit the local flower market for inspiration. I love that feeling of bringing home a little burst of colour and nature into the studio. I create my paintings using acrylics on canvas, as well as gouache and watercolour paintings on paper. I sell my paintings, prints of my work, cards, and make tea towels and totes.
