    They’d only just left Warrington Station, barely out the door and she couldn’t help pondering aloud...     “This seems like a bad idea-” She was speaking more to herself than her companion, mulling over the decision she’d been unexpectedly handed. To drive out or kill a group of ghouls, or to give them Tenpenny Tower... Was there any kind of peaceful solution? She couldn’t be certain without trying- right? For a moment, she mulled the thought, biting her lower lips uncertainly- until, suddenly, she turned to face Charon.      “What do you think?”

⇻ ♞ ― She stared at the ghoul for a solid five minutes before fully forming her thoughts. He seemed brash. Edith was intimidated by him which made her more hushed  than usual, but he did seem lonely regardless of his menacing look and the way he leered over the place. She reluctantly scooted closer to the wall he leaned against. He looked so serious, like he could break the poor thing in half and she knew that, but her better judgement was telling her that it was the right thing to do. Though sometimes it was most definitely wrong.

 She spoke lowly with a stutter.

This ghoul had been staring at him in silence since he took a seat at the bar, or at least, that’s what Raul had noticed. What was this guy’s deal, was he trying to intimidate him or something? The old vaquero felt like maybe he should say something, so he turned his head to stare back, silent for a few seconds.

“Uh... hey.”

Victoria didn’t look back as she left Underworld. She’d be lying if she said she wasn’t glad to leave the place behind her. The atmosphere had been oppressive, something about the air making her skin crawl, and she’d be lying if she said being surrounded by ghouls hadn’t made that feeling worse.

And now, she had a  ghoul following her. Funny how that happened. 

She opted not to think too hard about what had happened in the bar. She had needed a gun, and he seemed like he needed a way out, and the morality of it could be ignored as far as she was concerned. She had never claimed to be a good person, after all.

Rifle resting comfortably in her hands, Victoria glanced back to her newly acquired companion. Her gaze lingered a little too long on his face before she spoke.

“So,” there was an ease in which she broke the silence, voice smooth and almost careless, “you wouldn’t happen to know the safest route back towards Rivet City, would you? I’ll admit I’m not terribly familiar with this area.”

Which was to say, she didn’t know if she could navigate her way back out on her first try. The depths of the Capital wasn’t exactly a hot spot for her business, after all.

    If Kate had to guess, her soft, pre-war appearance was likely a dead giveaway to her skill level as a fighter. She wasn’t completely clueless; James had taught her how to shoot a gun after his discharge, and her father had shown her how to throw a solid punch years ago, but that wasn’t enough in the wasteland. If she wanted to survive, particularly in a place like the Glowing Sea, she’d need someone to watch her back. Someone who might not shy away from a little radiation.

    With that in mind, she had entered Goodneighbor, knowing there was a ghoul merc-for-hire in the settlement. He’d cut an imposing enough figure that she’d steered clear of him in the past, but now it appeared that he was the wisest choice for her mission. 

      “ --- Excuse me?” she prompted as she neared him, going straight to business. “How much does it cost to hire you? And how do you feel about rads?”
