God System Shock 2 is great. You can spend about 2 hours clearing out an entire deck filled with creatures that look like unused props from the set of The Thing and collect audio recordings of people's final moments before being overwhelmed and forcefully assimilated into an ever-growing expanse of flesh and by the end of it SHODAN is going to send you an e-mail that goes like this

In the 1999 classic action-RPG System Shock 2, the rogue AI slash dommy mommy SHODAN highjack the FTL drives of the TriOptimum starship Von Braun, attempting to warp space to merge it with cyberspace and build a new reality in her own image, with her as its infinite undying god-queen.

Given most of the things that have happened since '99, I'm starting to think maybe we were too hasty in stopping her.
