So far, Louis has walked around the stage draped in 3 different flags, but has raised 4 flags in total. (and if I missed a flag, please let me know and I will add it here!)

The first time he picked up a flag on stage was on 13 November 2019 at the Premios Telehit festival in México. What's even more interesting, though, is that before that, there was a big rainbow flag 🏳️‍🌈 right in front of him and the lore I found is that his gesture meant he was asking for the rainbow flag, but that the fans didn't understand that (apparently he 'asked' twice!), so they didn't throw it to him.

[i gotta say if I were that fan, I TOO would not have understood that gesture as "give me that flag" and i'm honestly a little doubtful that's how he really meant it, but also i'm not in his head, so maybe he was super shy about asking and did mean it like that and hoped they would understand him? 😭 My heart. Sadly, we will probably never know 😭]

It gets more interesting from here on out. A while later, during Kill My Mind, in this video you see that he walked the catwalk and a rainbow flag 🏳️‍🌈 AND the Mexican flag 🇲🇽 had already been thrown on there:

and a bit later, he walked the catwalk again while saying his goodbyes (video here) and he chose to pick up the very Mexican flag from the earlier video instead of the rainbow flag 🥹 (that must've been such a tough choice 💔) and then he waved the Mexican flag for 3 seconds, then threw it + his hat into the direction of the fans with the pride flag:

Then, 4.5 years later, he did it with the Mexican flag (that had a lot of fan signatures on it) on 4 June 2024 in Queretaro, México:

Then he did it on 10 August 2024 at Sziget Festival in Hungary. He asked for and got a Doncaster Rovers flag from a fan and draped it around himself on stage:

And on this current tour, in Madrid, Spain on 13 April 2026, he draped himself in the Spanish flag:

I also want to share this beautiful concert report of a fan bringing a Louis custom rainbow flag 🏳️‍🌈 to a show on 14 June 2022 in Mexico City, México and Louis' reaction when he noticed her rainbow flag.

1999. augusztus 4.

A héten kezdődik a Sziget, én meg pont megtaláltam nemrég a legelső Szigetemre készülési szenvedéseimet a naplómban. 17 voltam, és Lellén dolgoztam egy pékségben, amit tökre szerettem, csak volt két picsalány, akik már sokkal előbb is ám ott dolgoztak nyáron, és már pletykáik voltak a Fortuna-udvar népéről, amit nekem nem mondtak el, hanem látványosan sutyorogtak egész nap. (Amúgy ez nagyon nagy triggerem, a sutyorgás, mert vagy 1. tutira RÓLAM beszélnek, és RAJTAM röhögnek, vagy 2. valakin nagyon jól szórakoznak és ENGEM kihagynak belőle, szóval mindenhogy paraszt dolog.)

Nade vissza a Szigethez. Négy napra mentünk, ami azt jelenti, hogy összefüggő négy napra (!) el kellett kéreckednem a pékségből. 1999-ben nyáron, Balatonlellén. Felejtsd el, a SZEZON az szent, huszadikáig nem alszunk, nem szarunk. Úgyhogy ez, amit írtam 26 éve, abszolút NINCS túldrámázva:

(Nyilván nem mondtam meg, mi ilyen fontos.) Egyébként az lett a vége, hogy a Feri beblöffölte, hogy hát jó, akkor nem is kell többet jönni, hogy biztos azt mondom, hogy jaj, akkor inkább hagyjuk, de sajnos én azt mondtam, hogy jó.

Úgyhogy elmentem életem első Pepsi Szigetére, és mikor hazamentem, a Feri hiába volt jófej, és mondta, hogy amúgy várnak ám vissza mégis, én már nem akartam a Fortuna-udvarban adni a németeknek a stanglit, mert úgy éreztem, hogy sokkal többre vagyok hivatott, pl. arra, hogy mindig a Szigeten legyek, és amúgy se lesz most semminek semmi értelme egy évig, amíg nem mehetek újra.

Nagyon sokáig volt tényleg ez a hét a legfontosabb hét az évben. Nem akarok most itt régenmindenjobbvoltozni, meg visszavágyakozni a tébécés időkbe, mert akkor legalább még beszélgettek egymással az emberek. Faszt volt jobb minden régen. De speciel a Sziget az jobb volt.

(Amúgy 1999-ben az igazi szigetesek már rég fanyalogtak, hogy ez már elmultisodott, bezzeg régen, ez az élet rendje, hogy mindig lesznek fanyalgó öreg szigetesek, csak nem gondoltam, hogy én is leszek az egyszer.)

When Sziget is mentioned, everyone (quite understandably) talks about Bad Habits, Used to be My Girl and that part of The Dream Synopsis 😭 but In My Room has it all.

Veszélyes dolog ígérgetni úgy, hogy nemhogy a választást nem nyerték meg, de még jelöltjeik sincsenek.

Nem tudom melyik exfideszes zseni ötlete volt ez, de nem jó az irány! Kurvasok ember dolgozik a szigetnek/szigeten, az éves árbevételük jelentős része érkezik onnan.
