okay i am going to rant about my shinyduo sculptor au
Geminitay was once a genius sculptor who rose to fame at a young age. Since her college days, she has been well-knowned for her lifelike and awe-inspiring organic sculptures. Her life was always successful and she never faced any obstacles or issues. After graduating several grades ahead of schedule during her school years, she achieved success in her career and held several small-scale independent exhibitions in local areas.
All of this fell apart when she began to dream of the same person every night.
At first, it was just a distant, blurry figure—a tall, slender red silhouette veiled in mist. For the first few nights, Geminitay didn't notice her. After a few days, curiosity drew her closer. Then, after several more nights, she finally saw the face.
Gem could swear that she had never seen this person in real life. Yet every night in her dreams, the person would stand there in silence, and every awake minute she couldn't help but see that expressionless face whenever she closed her eyes. One night in her sleep, a sudden urge drove her to reach out and touch the face. The figure remained perfectly still, allowing her to touch it.
So one day when she was awake, she carved that face out. This is quite normal for her, isn't it? Sculpture is her main job and also the way she is most accustomed to expressing herself. However, expressionless female faces, female heads, and female busts piled up more and more in her studio. She worked continuously for days and nights but still couldn't be satisfied. Why does she always feel like something is missing? She carved exact replicates of that face.
It was all until one day when the face she carved broke into a pained smile.
Gem suddenly realised: This was exactly what she had been looking for all along! This was the muse she had been searching for. She began to carve frantically again. The faces piled up in her studio, in pain, in despair, weeping in silence, roaring in rage, speechless with terror...
Perhaps she was in such a bad state that her friends couldn't bear it anymore. One day, Impulse and Skizz broke into the house and forcibly pulled her out to into the sun. Impulse told her that a junior from his graduate school was moving to the area and was likely to rent a house opposite Gem. Skizz said she has to get herself ready, Gemmy Bemmy, that junior has a younger sister who is about her age. Impulse said that he had started a business with the two of them and a few others before, they are all very nice people and his junior likes sculpture art very much too, maybe he's even her fan. Finally, the two of them spoke in unison: "You will surely get along very well with the siblings moving here. Please take good care of yourself."
And finally after more than a month, Gem tidied herself up again. Only now did she realise that the aimless and confused state she had been in during that period was completely different to her usual self. She casually placed and hid the sculptures of women with distorted faces that were scattered all over the house. She grabbed some snacks from the cupboard, packed them up, and knocked on the door of her newly renovated neighbour.
The door opened with a bang to reveal a face that Gem had never seen before, yet which was as familiar to her as her own blood.

Boatem was a small company formed by a group of friends, it dissolved due to personal goal differences but these five remained close friends ever after.
gem and grian are in the same grade and share same classes but never knew eachother.
Grian is interested in art so he knows Gem from the news and the Internet after they've graduated.
Pearl is not that into arts and similar stuff, but she is really talented and Grian is always trying to get her into these.
Impulse is a little older that the rest four of boatem especially Pearl who were the youngest, but these two love to hang out together.
Pearl was the one to bring up the idea of moving to another city, she wants to live closer to her friends in boatem.
Pearl has never heard of Gem before, or if she did (Grian may mention once or twice) she definitely forgot.
Impulse never seen Gem's sculptures of "the unknown face" but he knows that its happening.
Gem is pretty famous, being both very talented and very young, and actually did more organics than human in her pieces.
Gem used to major in oil painting and was in the same class with Grian, but turned to sculpting for no particular reason.
Skizz is Gem's elder cousin who is half father-like to her, but they love being silly together.
Gem knew Impulse via Skizz who was Impulse's best friend.
