Tell me more about bobby drake, meow!
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas!
Well first, I’ma just go ahead and say that Bobby is my precious bisexual little muffin and that he needs to be protected at all costs.
And then I’m going to undermine that by saying: Bobby Drake is super powerful and doesn’t need to be protected by anyone. Canonically, in the X-Men Marvel universe, there are very few omega level mutants. You’ll see from this list that even mutants who are heralded as extremely powerful (Magneto, Charles Xavier etc) aren’t labeled as omega level. In various different editions Jean has commented on Bobby’s power, and specifically control. It’s a big thing in the x-men universe that while a character might have the potential to be very powerful, they usually don’t have the control necessary to unlock their full potential: BUT BOBBY DOES.
This kid once died, and then revived himself by absorbing his attacker.
He gets some flashes of spotlight in canon, like when he went through the love triangle w/ Elektra and Havoc. Or when he quit the team after Professor X faked his death. However, my favorite moments w/ Bobby are when he’s leading the team (filling Scott Summer’s role as team leader in the field, being Headmaster at Jean Grey’s School of Higher Learning, when he steps up his game in X-Factor to name a few).
My personal favorite Bobby is IceForm!Bobby, aka when Bobby had convinced himself that he was unable to retake his human form, and had to live as a human icicle. He didn’t turn back into his human form until he believed (somewhat correctly) that he had lost his powers. And then, when his powers returned, he was more powerful than he was when he lost them (which is super rare in xmen canon. Typically, post-loss characters have a harder time with their mutations).
Somewhat unfortunately, Bobby has had a HUGE range of love interests. A recent comic thread has been trying to label Bobby as gay, probably because of Marvel’s recent push is realigning characters to allow for more diversity. However, its far, far more likely that Bobby is bi, as seen in A LOT of his conversations w/ Jean, Kurt, and Rogue.
LONG STORY SHORT BOBBY IS POWERFUL AND PRECIOUS AND I LOVE HIM.
a summary of soa:
the entire Teller-Morrow family does horrible shit all the time without understanding the concept of consequences, and ends up ruining everyone’s lives

so im under the impression
that Foggy mentions Matt’s exploits with women because of three reasons
1. he’s jelly, as most people would be
2. he’s uncomfortable with Matt getting that attention, because he wants Matt’s attention
3. Foggy figures that the more he mentions ladies in a sexual manner the less he’ll have to come to terms with being bisexual (my Foggy hc)
Ummmmmmhmhm

There isn’t a single character that didn’t pull on my heartstrings. Like I know they’re fucked up. But they’re precious to me.
