Deciding it was probably best to train as much as possible in the last day, Izara decided to leave behind the bottle of liquor calling her name in the tribute suite and make her way back down to the training center. If another trainer decided to whip out their fucking megaphone the whole place would burn to the ground.
The young woman at the stealth station seemed approachable enough, though Izara soon learned that she wasn’t all there.
“What was your name again?” This had to have been the twentieth time she had asked, and by that point Izara had simply stopped responding and instead focused on her tips for both tracking and covering tracks. Liucija had been known for her tracking skills, but considering the mentor from Two wasn’t too keen on her female tribute Izara decided it may be best to brush up on the skills away from the she-demon.
The trainer at least understand what she was expected to know, and wasn’t too shit at teaching so Izara picked up the skills pretty quickly. She was no magician, however, and it would have been much too adventurous to have perfected these skills with one visit to a station. Despite being a trained career, miracles were a thing of fiction. Though, after leaving the idiotic trainer behind, Izara felt as though she had a better grip on how to cover her own tracks and follow those of other tributes.
As much as she wished to return back to the tribute suite, or at least not be spending time with more Capitol bred trainers, Izara made her way over to the knots and traps station. The little girl seemed docile enough but it wasn’t until Izara had to cut herself down from a trap and tend to her fingers that had been rubbed raw from the rope that she decided maybe no one would notice if she secretly murdered the young trainer. However, after the rumor mill spit out the horrible punishments that the other misbehaving tributes had faced, Izara decided to save her pretty face and overall perfect physique for the Games.
After all, those who were punished were already at a disadvantage. One that could be easily taken advantage of.
The night before had been a restless one, the nightmares had returned with a vengeance. With purple blooming under her eyes, Izara made her way down to the training center and seemed to command the room. Those that hadn’t already trained alongside her had most likely obeyed the others’ warnings to stay far away.
Good.
It took quite some time, but eventually Izara was able to tune out the whine of the megaphone and replace it with a silence of her own. The commands were growing more and more crude, insults taking their place when the woman realized the victor currently running laps was paying absolutely no attention to her. As her feet smacked against the solid track, Izara’s mind was only allowed to focus on breathing correctly and working through the burn in her muscles. She had lost track of just how long she had been running, but the trainer seemed to still have a constant stream of remarks. Though, Izara had a feeling Sherita could go on forever.
After what seemed like hours, the girl slowed to a walk and gave her heart a bit of time to slow down before moving onto another aspect of the station. Wall climbing had been a specialty back in two, those who didn’t participate in the Games were left to use their physical talents either to end up another Capitol brainwashed Peacekeeper or a lowly manual laborer. For those who worked with stone, climbing sheer walls was a skill not overlooked.
Izara strapped the ankle weights on and set off to scale the wall. The footholds were few and far between and by the time she was halfway up her fingers were sore and it felt as though her legs were about to detach from her body. Besides that and the incessant megaphone noise, it was rather peaceful.
“Would you mind shutting the fuck up?” She called down, not bothering to glance back to see the look of shock on the trainer’s face. Her request was unsurprisingly not headed, and the victor resorted back to ignoring the woman while she continued to train.
It wasn’t until her feet touched solid ground again that Izara breathed a sigh of relief that her legs were still, in fact, attached and her fingers hadn’t lost all of their dexterity. It had been much to long since she had pushed herself that hard physically, and it felt good to know that she could still keep up. Of course, that fact was never questioned.
Another few hours of overall strength and flexibilty training and Izara finally called it quits for that station. Perhaps she'd try and squeeze in a few more before the day was done.
Before leaving the station, however, Izara ripped the megaphone from Sherita’s hand before whipping it across the training center to smash against the wall and fall in pieces over by the knots and traps station. The young trainer over there ignored the rain of plastic and continued to chant some strange incantation as she repeatedly tied her rope into notes that resembled a five pointed star.
However, the anger of the fitness trainer was very real and before she could begin to yell more obscenities, Izara turned and stalked out of the training center.
Captura a bandeira.
