I think one of the happiest memories for both of us is after Blue Lock wins the match against the U20 team. Me running to give Chigiri a hug, him picking me up off my feet for a moment and twirling me around. After he sets me down, he holds me a little tighter and a little longer than usual because he hasn’t seen me in months, and I definitely get a bit teary-eyed. He notices I’m wearing an old jersey of his that I swiped from his closet, and I tell him it’s just til he makes it big and has official merch I can buy. (Not “if.” When.) He asks how I knew he’d even be here or be playing, and I just roll my eyes like it’s the silliest question in the world before telling him that I didn’t care how many other guys he was up against to get here. I knew he was gonna make it, and there was never any doubt in my mind.

(Honorable mentions for us going public once we’re dating—Chigiri kissing me after a win, and the way he can’t keep the smile off his face when an interviewer asks about me.)
