80s Suncom TAC 2 Joystick by Henrik Lein
Found while going through boxes! My long-lost TAC-2, the finest 8-bit joystick ever created. As Han Solo said, “She may not look like much, but she’s got it where it counts.” The design of the controller limits the movement of the joystick severely by surrounding it with the plastic and metal base. Thus, you didn’t need to move the joystick far at all to get results and it was practically impossible to wear out the joystick with exaggerated movements because it was so restricted. According to what I’ve read online, instead of using microswitches, the joystick had contact bearings inside that connected electrical circuits when pressed in the directions, which gave it the distinct feel and responsiveness.

My favorite part about @toasty-coconut @kasuria and @pkmncoordinators is how differently they approach writing... Kelly and Caroline showcased Paul and Torterra's bond by giving them a mega stone and mega evolution Lu did it by having Torterra's throat ripped out in front of Paul. Love different writing approaches
