Y'all I just realized that I never confirmed what Echoes of Wisdom Link's nickname is gonna be. Like, I threw around possibilities, but I never made anything official.

Anyways! Obviously, Zelda herself is Echo. To pair with that, Link's new name is Tacet!

From Latin, literally "to be silent", but also used in music to indicate that no sound should be made. I thought it was a fantastic juxtaposition to the meaning of 'echo' and also sounded good as a duo. Everyone say hi to our newest Sequel Link!

Summary:

Tacet is hoping for an easy, in-and-out job for his first solo infiltration mission to the Autobot base. Instead, he finds himself trapped in Jazz's office with the enigmatic head of Special Ops himself blocking his exit.

He'll do whatever he must to get home to Soundwave—and hopefully even pick up a little intel along the way.

Her lips curve in a mischievous smile. “Am I so unattractive that you would never think to hold me like that?” The way horror flashes so sharply across his face is enough to have her biting down on laughter. “ No —” it’s in his voice, too, hoarse and desperate while he flails for words— ”I didn’t mean it like that. I…I…”
